Since June 29, 1921, Howard Plan VFW Post 782 has offered support
to combat veterans in a myriad of ways. Most notably, the Post 782 offers
our members and all veterans a place to assemble to better cope with:
- Identified reintegration obstacles
- Hidden struggles created on the battlefield and in other
challenging duties required in military service.
By connecting with community leaders, we are able to offer programs
designed assist combat veterans who benefit from extra support as they
attempt to reintegrate successfully into their home community. In its nearly
100 years existence, VFW Post 782 has provided space to the Veterans Administration and other non-veteran run programs. The Post never receives financial assistance as we contribute
to the success of these government funded programs.
While our primary mission is ultimately the well-being of combat
veterans, our care for the broader community is represented in our
efforts to offer youth scholarships, leadership recognition in schools
and emergency services organizations and meeting space for programs benefiting the community.
